How to host a domain registered with GoDaddy on my iPage hosting plan?

Query on unlimited domains hosting: I already have a domain hosted on my iPage account (that came free with the account), but I just bought another domain today with GoDaddy (because it was cheaper than what iPage was offering). iPage says you can host an unlimited number of domains with my plan, but this domain is registered by GoDaddy. Is there a free way to get my new domain hosted by my iPage plan? Or do I need to create another domain name with iPage in order to use it with my iPage hosting?

Thanks very much,
Ben

  1. Since your web hosting provider offers unlimited addon domains, then you can host the new domain under the current account you have with your web hosting provider.

To add an Addon Domain to your cPanel account, follow these steps:

    1. Login to your cPanel account.

    2. Go to Addon Domains.

    3. Add the new domain in the "New Domain Name" Field, without using "http://www.", for example "newdomain.com".

    4. The next two fields "Subdomain/FTP Username" "Document Root" will be automatically filled.

    5. Fill the last 2 fields "Password" "Password (Again)" with the desired password and click the "Addon Domain" button.

    6. Change the name server settings of the new domain name through your domain registrar and use the same name server setting of your main domain name.

  2. I think better to put your new domain on professional free hosting service like http://www.1freehosting.com/ you will have everything you need without any costs just in few clicks, do not play with toys like iPage dude!
